Ski Portillo Chile or known simply as Portillo is a unique mountain resort located high in the Andes Mountains of Chile, 160 kilometers from Santiago.

The resort offers 3 lodges including the center of all activity, The Hotel Portillo as well as 2 smaller lodges, The Octagon Lodge and the Inca Lodge.

Portillo is an all inclusive resort where one prices pays for accommodation, lift passes, 4 meals daily as well as use of all the resort facilities.

There is never a lift line in Portillo. We limit the number of day tickets sold and with only 450 resort guests, it’s always smooth sailing on the mountain.

The famous Va et Vient (French for ‘come and go’) lifts were built by the Poma company for Portillo’s Roca Jack, Condor, Las Vizcachas and El Cara Cara runs. These runs are steep avalanche chutes, making the use of lift towers illogical. The Va et Vients are pulleys that are anchored to the mountain above which, by way of a specially designed attachment, pull 5 skiers up the mountain side by side at once. The Va et Vient lifts are recommended for expert skiers only and although they may seem intimidating at first are actually quite simple and fun once given a try.

The Inca Lodge offers accommodations similar to that of a youth hostel and is a great option for younger travelers coming to Portillo as a group or alone. Rooms are small and feature two bunk beds. Bathrooms are communal and there is one for men and one for women. Guests traveling alone who wish to room with other travelers will share a room with guests of the same gender. Note: Guests of the Inca Lodge eat meals in the self-service cafeteria but otherwise enjoy all of the same access to the Hotel's services, facilities and activities. *All rates quoted online are for 7 Night stays checking in on Saturday. *Child rates are not available online. As an economical lodging alternative Portillo offers the Octagon Lodge, a small lodge just steps away from Hotel Portillo. Each room offers four spacious bunks and a private bathroom. These are great deals for families and groups of friends. Guests in the Octagon Lodge enjoy all of the hotel's services including meals in the main dining room. The Octagon Lodge is considered shared accommodations and therefore each guest reserves a bunk bed. Consequently, guests traveling alone will likely share a room with other guests of the same gender. However, if you would like to reserve a room based on double or triple occupancy you can do that as well. Please select the correct unit type. The bunk pricing is based on the shared room rate. Must be a Saturday arrival for a 7 night stay. Portillo does not accept stays for shorter than 7 nights.
