Because dinner is served late in Chile, tea is served from 5pm to 6pm. North American guests that are accustomed to dining earlier should take advantage of eating something during this hour and then dine later at 8:30pm or 9:45pm.
Main Dining Room
The main dining room at Portillo is the center of dining in the area. Being special itself, the room features giant picture windows that lend a magnificent views of the lake and the handsome leather-paneled walls that are over 50 years old.

Tio Bob’s
Surrounded by the stunning views of Lake Inca and the Andes, this on-mountain restaurant offers barbecued meats and fish. A delicious variety of salads are also available. This restaurant is open from 11am to 3pm. Tio Bob’s give free lunch to guests who stay at Portillo for a week. This restaurant is a special place for a night time party as guests can rent the place for private parties.

The self-service cafeteria on the first floor is open during the same hours as the main dining room. Guests of the Inca Lodge take their meals here, as do day visitors to Portillo and the ski school. The Cafeteria is open to all guests of the hotel.

Hotel Bar
This bar, as expected, is one of the most popular attractions at Portillo. Leather-padded chairs and a giant stone fireplace make up the wonderful atmosphere of the place. A bar snack menu is available, including delicious fondue. At night, a live band will serenade you with live music and guests can even convert this bar into a dance floor. The bar can also be rented for private parties.

La Posada
This cantina-style restaurant can be found at the entrance to the hotel’s parking lot. This is where employees hang out and many guests love to visit La Posada for its local Chilean flavor and dance to regional music. Sometimes parties at the La Posada can make the wall shake.
