Backcountry Tours

For a group of five, you can now explore the natural beauty of the Wasatch Backcountry. With the aid pf Snowbird’s expert trail guides, experience the thrills as well as the exciting adventure of alpine tour. Programs for snowshoe touring, snowboarding, and mountaineering are also available.

This night ski program starts at 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

 

 

Night Skiing

Fun filled adventure on the ice at Snowbird does not end when the sun goes down. Skiers on all skill levels can try the exciting night skiing on the well lighted snowy slopes of the resort on board the Chickadee lift.

Snowmobiling

Snowbird Ski Resort offers the 50,000 acres of riding area that provides stunning views from the top of the 11,000 foot summit. The Summit Snowmobiling provides local and foreign guests the chance to explore the mountain’s grandeur on board the latest snow mobiles. Snowmobiling and great views in Utah is said to be second to none.

Aerial Tram Rides

The Aerial Tram Ride is one of the resort’s wholesome activities suited for the entire family. The ride which was opened in 1971 takes the passengers to as high as 2,900 vertical feet along a 1.6 mile cable all the way on top the resort’s Hidden Peak. Once you get to the place, you will get the spectacular vista of the Rockies.

Snowshoeing

Put on those lightweight hiking shoes and layered clothing for a day of snowshoeing adventure at the powdery mountain snows of Snowbird. The Activity Center also offers guided snowshoe tours that can be arranged beforehand and snowshoe rentals if in case you need something that is more fitting for the activity.

The Fly Drifters of Utah makes it possible for the resort guests to fly-fish during the winter season. Their year round fly-fishing escapades with well trained guides offers a tour around the Weber and Provo Rivers. Whether you are a skilled or novice fly fisherman, the team will customize a more suitable fly fishing experience in order to learn more about the secrets of West’s best fish flying.

Want to try the more exciting Heli Skiing adventure at Snowbird? You can now try the helicopter ski trips through the Wasatch Powderbird Guides whether privately or in small groups. As you move to higher elevations, there will be deep powder caches scattered around the rugged vastness of the Andes to provide a more challenging skiing experience.
